Construction (MC3)

The Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3) is a nationally recognized, industry-approved pre-apprenticeship program designed to prepare students for careers in the skilled trades. This comprehensive training introduces participants to various construction and manufacturing industries, equipping them with foundational knowledge, essential skills, and hands-on experience to succeed in apprenticeship programs. The 10-week, tuition-free program trains, educates and prepares students for careers in the union building and construction trades.

MC3 covers key topics such as workplace safety, blueprint reading, construction math, labor history, and professional development. Through interactive learning and real-world applications, students gain a strong understanding of industry expectations and best practices. The curriculum is developed in collaboration with labor organizations and industry professionals to ensure it meets current workforce needs.

One of the primary benefits of MC3 is its ability to expose students to multiple career pathways within the trades, including carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, and more. This broad foundation helps individuals make informed decisions about their career direction while giving them a competitive edge when applying for apprenticeships.

By completing the MC3 program, students demonstrate their commitment and readiness for skilled labor careers. Many apprenticeship programs recognize MC3 certification, allowing graduates to enter their chosen field with confidence and a strong foundation.

Our school is proud to offer the MC3 program as part of our commitment to workforce development and student success. Whether you're interested in a hands-on career or seeking a stepping stone into the trades, MC3 provides the knowledge and skills needed to start your journey in the skilled workforce.
