This competency-based course provides students with entry level skills for powered industrial truck (Forklift) occupations, operating instructions, warnings, and precautions for the types of truck (Forklift ) the operator wilI be authorized to operate. Understand the various safety hazards associated with material handling equipment and related equipment in the warehousing industry. Training includes proper driving and operating skills using various types of power and fixed equipment. Demonstrate preventive maintenance procedures and identify correct equipment for the job. (25 hrs)
