HVAC/ 1 (728560)
This course provides instruction in residential and commercial heating systems. Emphasis on the basic theories and applications of electricity and thermodynamics, and operational, troubleshooting, and maintenance techniques for heating systems. (180 hrs)
Prerequisite: Enrollment requires a reading level of 6.0 as measured by the CASAS goal test.
HVAC/ 2 (728565)
This course provides instruction in residential and commercial ventilation and refrigeration. Emphasis is placed on the generation and modification of electricity for HVAC systems, wiring principles and procedures approved by the National Electrical Code. (180 hrs)
Prerequisites: Successful completion of HVAC/ 1
HVAC/ 3 (728570)
This course provides instruction in cooling control systems, commercial air conditioning, integrated systems, and lab work focusing on the service, diagnostic, and repair techniques used in the HVAC industry. (180 hrs)
