This competency-based course is the second in a sequence of three courses designed to prepare students to pass the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) examination. Technical instruction includes an introduction, safety, basic device configuration, switching concepts, virtual local area network, inter-VLAN routing, DHCPv4, SLAAC and DHCPv6 concepts, FHRP concepts and configuration, LAN security concepts. (135 hrs)
Prerequisites: Enrollment requires successful completion of the Networking/1 (74-65-51) course
Networking /3 (746555)
This competency-based course is the third in a sequence of three courses designed to prepare students to pass the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) examination. Technical instruction includes an introduction, safety review, single-area OSPFv2 concepts and configuration, network security concepts, ACL concepts, ACLs for IPv4 configuration, NAT for IPv4, WAN concepts, VPN and IPsec concepts, QoS concepts, network management, network design, network troubleshooting, network virtualization, network automation, and employability skills and resume preparation. (90 hrs)
Prerequisites: Enrollment requires successful completion of the Networking/2 (74-65-53) course
CCNA Test Prep/Upgrade (746557)
This competency-based course is designed to prepare students to pass the Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) examination. Technical instruction includes an introduction review, safety review, network fundamentals, network access, IP connectivity, IP services, security fundamentals, network access, IP connectivity, IP services, security fundamentals, automation and programmability, employability skills and resume preparation, and entrepreneurial skills. (90 hrs)
Prerequisites: Enrollment requires successful completion of the Networking/3 (74-65-55) course.
